GenCare Lifestyle at Point Ruston
Project: GenCare Lifestyle at Point Ruston
Project Location: Tacoma, WA
Designer: Lise Husted
Design Firm: Husted Design
Tableaux received an estimate request from Lise Husted, Owner and Principal Designer of Husted Design based in Edmonds, Washington. Lise uploaded concept drawings and a preliminary elevation (below) for an art wall to be incorporated into an interior design project for GenCare Lifestyle at Point Ruston dining room.
The Tableaux team reviewed the submitted drawings and specifications and began to plan how to design and manufacture the custom decorative grilles for this project. We asked Lise to comment on the following:
Q: With regard to design, what were the needs and expectations of your client for this project?
GenCare Lifestyle desired an artistic divider wall between the main dining room and hallway. With regard to design, I sought to pay homage to the city of Tacoma’s vibrant and visible glass art scene, including the internationally known work of Dale Chihuly, and the Museum Of Glass which features live glass blowing.
Q: What challenges did you face in meeting the design goals of this project?
The greatest challenge in the project was the shipping and installation of a divider wall of this scale. Installing the coordinating valances was a physical challenge as well.
Q: How did Tableaux Decorative Grilles help meet the design goals and vision for this project?
Tableaux provided visual support in every stage of the project. Their renderings helped all parties involved to understand my final design concept. Communication was efficient and unwavering. Packaging and shipping was of the highest quality, nothing arrived damaged. Tableaux were consistently reliable for phone and email support.
Tableaux provided technical drawings (above) to show how the acrylic would install with the steel tube framing and MDF decorative grilles.
The project also called to three additional decorative grilles to be used as valances on the other side of the GenCare dining room.
